Horsemanship-Basic Necessities (SILENT/NO SOUND)
For Shelby's Speech 1311 class. Background video to compliment Informative Speech on the basics of horsemanship. Title: Horsemanship: The Basics General purpose: to inform Specific purpose: After listening to my speech, audience members will be more informed about basic health and safety fundamentals for owning a horse. Thesis: Horses are not just pets you keep in your back yard and feed. People can and do, but in my opinion that is neglect. Having a horse takes a lot of responsibility from start to finish, and it is much more detailed than having a pet, like perhaps a dog. There are many areas that need daily attention for their health and safety; and yours, the owner. Creating an appropriate habitat, maintaining daily care and health maintenance is crucial. All three of which are the basic fundamentals of owning a horse. INTRODUCTION I.Attention-getter: when I was 10 years old, I told my mom that I wanted a horse, so we leased a horse so I could see, first hand, how much work a horse was.
